Smudged Cat Games, an independent game studio who created The Adventures of Shuggy, issued a press release a couple of days ago about their upcoming Gateways 2D puzzle platformer game for Linux and Macintosh operating systems.

Gateways is a world warping, gravity defying, time traveling 2D puzzle platformer game, and it was originally released for the PC and Xbox platforms in September 2012.

Being so popular, the developer decided to port the game to the Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. Gateways will cost $5 (3.77 EUR) and it will be official released next month, on July 16, 2013.

"Move seamlessly between different areas of the vast labyrinthian map with no waiting for loading screens as you explore and discover new power ups. Use each of your new abilities to progress further, unlock shortcuts and find even more power ups," was stated in the press release.

A Steam version will also be available to all users. Until then, we will let you enjoy the official trailer in the above video.
