Gateway Rolls Out the Gaming-Ready P-7808u FX Notebook

Irvine, California-based Gateway, a wholly owned subsidiary of Acer, has just unveiled a new P-series FX gaming laptop, with the introduction of the new P-7808u FX Edition notebook PC. As you might imagine, the system is packed with some of the latest computer hardware on the market, enabling a higher level of computing performance. It combines Intel's Core 2 Quad processors with NVIDIA's GeForce graphics solutions to provide gaming and multimedia users with a feature-rich portable gaming rig, part of the company's award-wining P-series FX Edition Line of gaming laptops.

The new high-end gaming laptop is equipped with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 processor, featuring a core speed of 2.0GHz and 6MB of L2 cache and the NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTS graphics solution with 1GB of GDDR3 discrete graphics memory. All of these are at the basis of Gateway's latest 17-inch high-end gaming rig, which is capable of rendering high-quality videos at a resolution of 1440x900 on the widescreen LCD.
