No other segment will cause more IT expenditures than this one

Web-based programs (games, editors, streaming services, etc.) are growing in relevance, as are online backup sites, which means that cloud computing, in general, is becoming prominent.

Gartner believes it will become the most prominent field of the IT industry by the time 2016 rolls around.

According to its latest press release, IT spending for cloud computing will be higher than for any other IT segment.

It's mostly because private cloud is evolving into hybrid cloud. And also because almost half of large enterprises intend to have hybrid cloud deployments by the end of 2017, which means that 2016 will be a year of heavy investments.

If the vision of “The Internet of Things” is to come true (all devices and appliances connected in the cloud), Gartner's prediction must come true. So, at this point, the only thing we can cast doubt on is the time frame proposed (one-two years).
