“Gangnam Style” is, without a doubt, the catchiest and most popular song of the year, if not actually of recent years. One IT manager from the UK tried to replicate the vigorous choreography of the music video, and met a sudden and tragic end.

Eamonn Kilbride was at the Christmas office party when “Gangnam Style” came on. Without a moment’s hesitation, he started doing the dance routine made famous by South Korean pop singer Psy and, at the end of it, fell dead to the floor, his wife explains, as cited by The Stir.

Eamonn was always “the life of the party,” she says.

“We were having a fantastic time at the Christmas party and Eamonn had just finished dancing to Gangnam Style. He was up on stage and entertaining everybody. He said he had a bit of a pain and just collapsed,” the woman explains.

The coroner’s office has announced that Mr. Kilbride died of coronary artery atheroma, which can be triggered by vigorous exercise. He is survived by three children and a loving wife.

Above is the official music video for “Gangnam Style,” if you don’t know yet the most peculiar dance routine it made famous.
