The bird got its own brick home, stares at the world through a window

As weird as this may sound, it seems that one grey owl named Gandalf the Great is so afraid of flying around in open spaces, that it would much rather spend its days indoors.

This picture of Gandalf shows that the bird does not nurture hatred towards the great outdoors, otherwise it would not spend numerous hours admiring it from behind a window.

“He is a bit of a wuss as he doesn't like flying in big open spaces,” explains the owl's owner, Janet Southhard.

“When we moved here we put him in the shed temporarily while we built his aviary outside. But he didn't want to move so now he has an aviary inside the lovely red brick shed. He loves sitting at the window and watching the other birds,” she went on to say.

This agoraphobic owl and its owners live in Merseyside, northwest England.
