Gaming oriented portable media players are probably the next best thing after wonder bra. These things provide entertainment at full capacity. The S6 PMP from Ilife Technology features a simple, yet cool design. Even if the device is a Chinese portable item, it doesn't seem to be taken from any already hot on the market media player, which is not necessarily a good thing. The design tells a lot about the maker's intention to focus on the player's capabilities, rather than on its looks.

When it comes for the player's capabilities, it is said to be ready to handle a lot of file formats on the market, among which some pretty popular ones, as MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM and FLAC for the audio media content, as well as some other ones I am sure some of you might find cool, like GM, GBC, NES, SNES and SEGA games.

So, we've got music files, we've got games, hmm, too bad there's no audio files compatibility or else. Besides that, the S6 player reveals a decent 2.4 inch full-color TFT screen display nicely framed in the silver shining casing. Sharing of the media content is possible via the internal speaker system. File transfer management is possible using the USB 2.0 interface. There is no word about the precise internal memory storage. Either way, extra memory boost is possible using the built-in memory card slot.

As for the operating system, the player is said to support Windows 98, SE, 2000, XP, Mac OS X and Linux 2.5.2. Moreover, since size matters when buying this sort of devices, the player sports 102 x 50 x 12 mm size a piece.

Regarding the pricing and availability details, the S6 portable media player features no official price tag yet, but should retail online, any minute now.
