The new release resolves an issue introduced in the previous update

Windows Phone 8.1 users out there who updated the Games hub app on their devices earlier this week might want to consider installing the latest flavor of the software, currently available for download as version 2.0.1405.13001.

The main purpose of the new update is to make the Games app reappear in the App List, as it went missing from there after the previous refresh.

Apparently, Microsoft is still not bringing major new features to the software, though it might certainly do so in the not-too-distant future.

One thing that is certain, however, is that Windows Phone 8.1 users should update to the new app iteration as soon as possible, especially if they downloaded the previous release and could no longer find the Games application on their devices.

With Games for Windows Phone loaded on their smartphones, users will be able to easily access all of their titles from a single place, see their Xbox Live gamer profile, update account info, modify the avatar, and more.

Moreover, they will also receive notifications for Xbox Live messages and friend requests, and they will be able to read news on new titles, reviews, and the like.

You can download Games for Windows Phone 8.1 from Softpedia today.
