Thermaltake is now at the center of one of those episodes where a certain hardware product, in this case a keyboard, finally reaches availability after months of letting the consumer base wait for it.
The gaming segment of the IT market is one of those who have taken a life of their own, with some companies even basing their entire existence on products that touch on the subject in at least one way.
Video cards, CPUs and RAM products are, of course, varied, but there are some parts of the PC with which users always get more up close and personal.
One may have already identified those parts as peripherals, the items responsible for users' interaction with cyberspace.
Thermaltake is one of the companies that deals with such things, among others, and it looks like the company is ready to show off its latest implement.
The product, known by the name of Meka G-Unit, was actually made official a few months ago,
during May, 2011.
The main asset that buyers should think about when considering this purchase is the fact that all keys have mechanical switches.
More specifically, the keys all have mechanical Cherry Black switches, which improve the tactile feedback and provide endurance.
All in all, to make it so that the keyboard never buckles under strain and that keys will always maintain their responsiveness, Thermaltake managed to let them to endure over 50 million strokes each.
Other specifications that buyers could find relevant are the 64 kb of on-board memory, the ISS (Instant Shift System) advanced macro key shifting function (60 macro keys), a pair of USB 2.0 ports, two audio jacks, 1,000 Hz Polling Rate and a 1.8m braided cable (the USB connector at the end is gold-plated).
Stores should list the item soon, if they haven't already, for $130.
