On Friday, Gameloft announced via its official Twitter account for Australia and New Zealand that the Modern Combat 5 game would not arrive until next year.

The company, a renowned publisher of titles for mobile platforms such as Android, iOS, and Windows Phone, says that it plans on focusing on delivering a great experience before making the game available for download.

“In order to fully achieve our vision for Modern Combat 5 we have decided to postpone the launch to 2014,” the aforementioned tweet reads.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Gameloft launched the previous installment in the Modern Combat series back in December last year, under the name of Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

There’s no specific release date for the upcoming game at the moment, but Ausdroid notes that the title could arrive in the first quarter of the next year. Stay tuned for more on the matter.
