Gameloft Updates Ice Age Village for iOS, Breaks the Game

I update the village and it wont open again

i also undated and and it won't open so upset.. had a baby and was on level 57.. and loved playing the game... what happen? had it on my Iphone

I updated it on my nook, and I also lost it and it won't open . I was on level 46

Very glitchy app - surprised it's popular.
Latest update stops the game from loading, previously there were so many bugs my children lost interest in it and spend all their time on Sims freeplay. We wasted a fair amount of time and money on the game so are very disappointed in the software developers.

My ice age village shows scrat loads to 100% then shuts down. Y ?

Update crash after load screen

It's true - the update broke the game. Now it crashes before it ever opens up. Very frustrating! Can't believe they would release such an update without thorough testing. I'm going to call them "Grinch-loft" from now on! They are going to lose my business.

I also downloaded the update and it won't open. I was on level 56! What options do I have?

I was up to Level 53 and downloaded the updates - guess what the game started at Level 1 again - I had lost all my hard-earned gains

I updated the game on my IPhone and my daughters Itouch and it won't even open. Gameloft support told me to switch the devices off and back on again! I kid you not! Ridiculous.......

Annoying that Gameloft won't acknowledge and respond to complaints about this...customers have invested time and money.

I can't get my game and I'm unhappy as I had a lot of time and paid for this game. I did enjoy it while I could play it but if I can't get it back in tact I will never play another game by game loft again

Game won't load at all and don't really want to re install as reached a high level. Infuriating what now?

I am so mad I did the new update and now it won't let me play. I have paid for things and now I want my money back I have tried o play for three days now and no luck. I would like some one to contact me and let me know hats going on or give me my money back.

I love the app and find it super fun but I have been very annoyed with the recent update due to it opening but then closing almost straight after. Also once they fix that problem I think they should enable even more space (land) so I can breed more animals and put down more fun items.

When this crash problem will resolve?

I updated my ice age village 12/21/12 and now it won't open. I had three eggs hatching and now I can't even play the game. I'm hoping it gets fixed because I don't want to start over.

After the update, I have never even been able to open the game period. I wish they would get this fixed.

I'm on level 60, been on for 4months, then it updates and you can't even load the game? Again gameloft?

I cannot understand why the GameLoft people have not responded to the update crashing.
Surely it would be good manners to let we, the faithful players, know what is happenning.

I was also on maximum level, with thousands of acorns and billions in coins, keenly awaiting an update!

I had the same problem as everyone else, really annoying. But they did post a fix for it, you have to do it via your computer (I access it via iPad). My very clever husband fixed it and I'm back on, but I'm a bit put off and cautious about spending anymore money on the game. :(

Was on level 60. So frustrating, and there seems to be a deafening silence from Gameloft......

When is this going to get a fix we can actually use to play our game again? Been nearly a month and still down. Gameloft needs to get serious and get this fix done....

what a cheek!!! Happy New Year, love and joy!!! All this and yet STILL no contact regarding why we can't play the game!!! Are we players to accept that this will not be resolved and in fact you don't really care!!!!

I can't believe that there are no update status reports as to the status of very few "minor updates" that break the game....really????? And it takes more than 30-60 days to fix the problem without so much as an explanation to all of us that play the game.....C'mon guys, how many of you will it take to fix "this bug"???

I really loved the game. I have quite a big village with lots of complete collection of animals. Unfortunately just over the last few days when collecting hearts visiting other villages the screen freezes. This happened yesterday & I can't return to my own village. I have been notified that the latest baby has been born but there is nothing I can do. I'm stuck in a 'friends' village. Much as it pains me, I'm seriously considering deleting this game. Sad.

I am facing the problem for more than two months now I thought it was only me glad to know it wasn't only me, waiting despretlly to start again, I had babies on the way hope they are safe heheheehe please game loft do something quickly.

The game continuously crashes which makes it very annoying when playing.

Gameloft sent me a fix and it worked. Now a new issue. When going to "friends" it downloads to 50% gives me an error message that I am not connected (I am) and freezes. Anyone else having this problem?

I don't think you want to know what I really think! I will tell you that my grandkids are completely devastated about this! Please fix this as soon as possible!

Febuary 8th 2013 still notworking and its been down for a while since ive updated it. I have nook tablet that i bought last year. This game was one i got and loved. But now its a headache just waiting for it to get fixed. All i want is for my game to work. Please fix asap! Thanks

Oh, naive me... After I did the fixes for this problem, i didnt learn. :( We had an update again this week and my IAV iPad won't start up! Crud! And cruddier developers & QA. For shame.

I still cannot open the game since the last update. I don't want to delete the game as I have spent quite a few pounds on it and have reached level 64

I am about to upgrade my iPad to the latest Retina, will my game be lost when I transfer all my data over from my iPad 2?

my game still does not work... every time i get to level 13... instead of waiting 2 mins to collect coins... the time to wait gets higher and higher?? at the moment u have to wait 12 hours!!!!!

I have serious problems for 18 hours I was locked into another village, 'scraps 65'......now I am locked into the acorn buyers section. Please help otherwise I wil look for my money spent on my game and give up!hanks

Frozen for 20 hours

For those of us not quiet up to level 60 (52). The game suddenly turns your positive coin countto a negative! Gameloft says so sorry but we cant help you but thankyou for contacting us!REALLY! I say find another game

Please help!! Same thing is happening with my Ice Age Village app on my iPad. It gets to the Fox entertainment page & shuts right down.

Had lots of trouble loading the game initially but have really enjoyed building my Arctic Heaven. However, within the last week Scrats Village has frozen twice. The first time, after I'd found Scrat, it was on a timer (12 hours if I remember correctly) so I had to wait for this to run out before I could continue building my village. The second time, 3 days ago, it just froze, (no pun intended!), again after I'd found Scrat. But it is not timed this time so I cannot access my village at all. VERY! VERY FRUSTRATING!

Game restarted after being frozen for 4 days but has now frozen twice over the last 2 days when the ad has come up to buy the Statue of Liberty and then reduced Acorn packs. I don't want either but I don't get the option to buy or opt out as the screen freezes as soon as the ad comes up.

My coins totalled 2.147 billion.now it has stopped receiving coins. Why? I am on level 65.

I also have the problem with this game... it crashed 2 times and in both cases when i was collecting the coins... and can i save this village is there any way...i would be very grateful if you could help me...

I got it for my BB Playbook. Love it but it freezes or restarts when I try to buy or add something.

I'm running ice age on a mini while my wife is on a ipad 1 and hers will not load after the update but will on mine and we have both spent some good money on iap's (when on sale) and in the past week I have noticed that they have had a sale on acorns twice...you mean to tell me they have the time to put in sales but not enough to fix her game??? This is her favorite game and it sucks to have her have paid for nothing...gameloft really has its priorities twisted I tell ya.

Same here when i click on shop it wont let me open and freezes. It will only buy things through the quest menu but will not let me select friend hearts through the shop at all. I even tried selecting the shop menu by scrolling up and down through the shop menu when through guests which is the only way its accessed. Only decorations and animals can even be bought through guest menu. This sucks i even contacted support they said to restart phone and turn wifi on and off still hasnt helped it.

I have got automatic update on 05/23/2013 .Since then every time I access the shop the game freeze for a few seconds and crash

Hope it gets fixed soon becauseim going though with draws from the game and so is my mom she is getting very mad about it for not getting on it so please get it fix as soon as possible thank you very much

this has been an ongoing problem, for the last year I have had coins, acorns and animals just vanish....play the Scrat game, the "rewards" are never given..u "fulfill" a task, yet it does not count it, I have "collected 25 freinds" x 6 ! and STILL SAYS 0.....far to much crap...am getting ready to boycott Gameloft, am tired of this unethical crap

my game started crashing when i hit level 25 at first i noticed a glitch with one of my mud baths not paying me and i wasnt able to move it or delete it. after restarting my phone it worked fine for the rest of the day now on level 26 it says looking for updates then shuts down. I really liked the game untill now.
