French developer and publisher of mobile games has just released a major update for its Despicable Me: Minion Rush title for Windows Phone devices.

Although the update was teased a few days before it went live on Windows Phone Store, here is a quick recap for those who did not have the chance to check out the teaser.

First of all, the update brings the long-awaited Jelly Lab but also lots of new missions that players can now unlock. In addition, Gameloft also included two new costumes in the update, which will help players win more challenges: the Jelly Jar and Lucy.

Thanks to the new update, players will now be able to experience the game through the Jelly Lab and progress by accomplishing new types of missions. You will also be able to discover new locations from the previous updates by simply playing though the newly added Jelly Lab.

Last but not least, Gameloft also confirmed it has added overall bug fixes and optimizations to the Windows Phone game.

You can now download Despicable Me: Minion Rush for Windows Phone 2.0.0.20 for free via Windows Phone Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
