With exactly one more week until Thor: The Dark World, the sequel to the 2011 movie starring Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, Gameloft has launched the free-to-play film tie-in with the same name.

The game is now available for download via Google Play Store and doesn’t require players to pay a dime, unless they want to make their lives easier, at which point they will have to take advantage of the game’s in-app purchase system.

Thor: The Dark World allows players to train and fight alongside some of the most famous Asgadrian heroes, including Sif, Heimdall and the Warriors Three.

The game comes with no less than 90 challenging missions, each with different goals. You’ll be traversing 9 worlds and fight hordes of Marauders, Rock Giant, Dark Elves and other creatures, while playing the game.

You can now download Thor: The Dark World for Android for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the game should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3 and up.
