Inspired by the events from the movie, “The Dark Knight Rises” game has just been released in the App Store and Google Play.

Created by Gameloft in partnership with DC Comics, the long-awaited title tempts players into one of the most thrilling adventures in the DC Comics universe.

Take the role of Batman, one of the most popular heroes of all times, and save Gotham City from the biggest threat our hero has ever faced.

In the “The Dark Knight Rises,” Batman’s archenemy is Bane, king of Pena Dura prison. For those who are not familiar with Batman comic books, Bane is the one that broke Bruce Wayne’s back during the Knightfall storyline.

The events in the game take place eight years after Bruce Wayne gets back into action as Batman. Bane and the mysterious Selina Kyle are his new lethal adversaries.

Fortunately, Batman won’t have to fight alone in this crusade. Catwoman, Lucius Fox and Commissioner Gordon are there to help him defend Gotham City from Bane and his allies.

The game offers players dozens of missions, as well as random events that will keep your interest for hours. Batman’s entire arsenal of weapons and vehicles is available in the game, including the famous Batarang and the Bat-Pod.

Deal with hostage situations, bomb squads, jailbreaks and car chases to prove that you’re the true protector of Gotham. A thrilling fighting system that puts you right in the heart of the action thanks to many different moves and cinematic effects. Collect items hidden within the city to unlock upgrades and new fighting skills for Batman,” concluded a Gameloft’s official.

Gameloft’s “The Dark Knight Rises” is now available for download via Google Play store for only $6.99 USD and it should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up. Check it out here.
