Gameloft, who already launched several successful Windows 8 games, recently announced the availability of a new title for Microsoft’s modern OS that brings an addictive FPS gameplay right in the Metro UI.

Blitz Brigade is an FPS game that also supports online multiplayer gameplay with support for up to 12 different users. There are 5 different classes, including soldier, gunner, medic, sniper, and stealth, but also 3 different vehicles, 100 weapons and 120 missions in single play mode.

“You ready for the gun show? Axis or Allies, victory or defeat, mayo or mustard… All will be decided in the ultimate FPS showdown: Blitz Brigade! Become one of five highly skilled and totally badass classes and team up with other players to pound your enemies into the dirt and call them mean names,” the app description notes.

Probably the best thing about it is that the game is offered completely free of charge, so you won’t have to pay a single cent to play it. What’s more, it works on both desktops and tablets, which means that you can also install it on Microsoft’s Surface RT if you wish.

Overall, this is clearly a game that deserves at least a try, so download Blitz Brigade for Windows 8 to play it for free on your brand new device as well.
