Gameloft, the famous French mobile game developer and publisher, will create three new games for Zeemote (the US-based producer of wireless controllers), so that they can be played with its JS1 Controller planned to be released soon.

The Zeemote JS1 Controller can be connected via Bluetooth with a wide range of mobile phones, allowing users to enjoy a true gaming experience, without the frustrations that might appear when controlling the in-game actions with the phone's keypad.

The Gameloft games that will be Zeemote-ready are Ferrari World Championship, Roland Garros 2008 and Gangstar. At the moment, there aren't any details about them, but I guess they'll be quite easy to play thanks to the JS1.

Talking about the new gaming controller, Beth Marcus, Zeemote's Chief Executive Officer, said, "The industry support has been overwhelming and we are very proud of the fact that nearly every one of the top 15 mobile games publishers has committed to creating games compatible with the Zeemote JS1 Controller. As we prepare for commercial launch, first in Europe then followed by North America and Asia in 2009, we have not only content creators, but also operators, handset manufacturers and OEMs - all backing our product."

Gonzague de Vallois, senior Vice President at Gameloft, also stated, "The Zeemote JS1 Controller brings an intuitive and innovative experience to players. We believe the Zeemote controller, combined with high quality Gameloft games is a perfect match for customers who will have a strong motivation to download and enjoy more and more mobile games."

The exact release dates for the three new games were not unveiled, but we should expect Zeemote and Gameloft to make them available by the end of the year.

Besides the upcoming Gameloft titles, Zeemote has other mobile games that can be played with the JS1 Controller, including "Sonic the Hedgehog" from Sega and "Heli Strike" from FishLabs.
