Gameloft Announces "The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" Mobile Game

- To be available this summer

By: Cosmin Vasile, Communications News Editor

Gameloft has just announced having secured the license from the Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group to develop and publish the mobile game of the
upcoming supernatural adventure The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor in theaters on August 1st, 2008. This seems to be Gameloft's fourth collaboration with Universal.

The blockbuster global Mummy franchise takes a spellbinding turn as the action shifts to Asia for the next chapter in the adventure series - The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. In the film, Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O’Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined in this all-new adventure by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah). And this time, the O’Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.

"Gameloft is pleased to again partner with Universal to add an interactive mobile component to its wildly popular movie franchise," said Gonzague de Vallois, Senior Vice President of Publishing, Gameloft. "An action-packed property such as The Mummy allows us to go down an extremely wide creative path to deliver an exciting and engaging mobile game for fans."

Working closely with Universal, the mobile game will capture and chronicle the intense action adventure of the film. The game takes place across varied landscapes of mysterious and magical China, including caves, deserts, mountains and tombs. Peppered with challenging puzzle and mini-games in between 12 levels, The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor delivers an action-packed game with eye-popping graphics.

Fans can look for the mobile game version of The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor when the film debuts this summer.
