Gameloft, one of the world leaders in the development and publishing of video games for mobile phones, revealed this week the names of three football stars that will represent the next edition of its franchise, Real Football 2007.

These athletes - who are among the world's best football players - made 2006 a stand-out year, thanks to their exceptional performances with their clubs, as well as during the World Cup. "These three athletes are world-class players who can serve as excellent ambassadors on behalf of all football fans," said Karine Kaiser, Marketing Deputy Director of Gameloft. "More than three million fans have already downloaded a Real Football brand game and the 2007 title is expected to reach an even wider audience. This new game was especially designed to excite all football fans- not just those who play football video games or are avid video game players."

Patrick Vieira, captain of the National French Team, has one of the most impressive lists of victories in football. As winner of the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the Euro 2000, he also won one Italian Series A and three English Premiership champion titles. 2006 turned out to be one of the most extraordinary seasons of his career, as he played a vital role on the French Team and helped them reach the World Cup final. Now, he is playing with Inter Milan, and is currently considered one of the world's best defensive midfielders.

Steven Gerrard, a legendary player on the English and Liverpool teams, is a world-class midfielder. Although only 26, he already has two European cups to his credit. He and his club teammates won the UEFA Cup final in 2001, as well as the Champions League final in 2005. As both a passer and goal scorer, he knows exactly how to make a difference in the game at crucial moments.

Carles Puyol of Spain, defender and captain of FC Barcelona, along with his teammates, won the 2006 Champions League final, and won the Liga (Spanish league), twice: in 2005 and 2006. His charisma and combative spirit naturally positioned him as head of the Barca and Spanish teams' defense, and made him one of the most feared defenders throughout the football world.

Real Football 2007 will be available on February 9th, 2007 through the portals of Gameloft's 170 partner operators in 75 countries.
