GameTrailers Launches Mobile Video Channel

GameTrailers, a division of Viacom's MTV Networks, announced the launch of its new mobile video channel. As part of the mobile debut, GameTrailers will unveil "Go Gaming," a new original series dedicated
entirely to the coverage of mobile games. GameTrailer gaming content will be distributed to Amp'd Mobile customers beginning in the second quarter, with a roll-out across all carriers in the coming months.

"This exciting launch allows us to reach gamers in a new way by bringing our original video game content directly to the user's mobile device," said Jon Slusser, CEO, Executive Producer, GameTrailers. "We're also thrilled to premiere 'Go Gaming,' a program that focuses on the growing market of mobile games. Not only are we expanding our programming line-up, but we are presenting the show to the perfect audience through our new mobile video channel."

The GameTrailers mobile video channel provides viewers with a combination of trailers, editorial reviews, special features, top ten lists and original shows such as GameTrailers's debate series, "Bonus Round." GameTrailers mobile video channel will also be the home for the new mobile series, "Go Gaming," which features previews and reviews of the latest mobile games. In the future, when the required techonology becomes available, GameTrailers plans to introduce a feature that will allow viewers to directly link to and purchase all game titles mentioned in the show directly from their mobile devices.

GameTrailers is a video destination for gaming entertainment and information. GT delivers high-resolution broadband video content for gamers that includes original shows, video reviews, game trailers and comprehensive video coverage of gaming events from around the world. GameTrailers also has a robust community that features user-generated content, a community marketplace and a variety of communication tools so gamers can talk to friends and share media such as fan movies and daily blogs.

The so called "update" sucked. They just lost a couple of million iPhone/iPod/iPad users.

You cannot even visit the full site anymore. Talk about a lock out.
