14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at Telltale Games has just confirmed that the members of House Forrester will be the main characters of the upcoming Game of Thrones episodic game, and now a set of leaked images created by the studio show the graphics style that the experience will use.
The screenshots seem to be created using the game engine and they feature familiar characters like Tyrion and Cersei Lannister, both of them based on the actors who portray them in the HBO series.
At the same time, gamers can take a look at the five characters from House Forrester that gamers will actually be able to control in the new experience, although they currently do not have any names and no details about their position are included, according to AllGamesBeta.
The art style used by Telltale Games aims for realism, but the images of Cersei and Tyrion suggest that the development team might have to deal with the problems caused by the uncanny valley, which appears when a title comes close to real life but still retains an alien quality.
Still, it’s very interesting to see that the studio plans to feature some of the most familiar and loved characters from the books and wants to deliver a very accurate take on the universe created by George R.R. Martin.
The team has already said that it will focus on House Forrester, which is based in the North, sworn to fealty to the Glovers and the Starks, and focused on the exploitation of ironwood.
Game of Thrones will be focused on politics and betrayal
The Telltale Games video game based on Game of Thrones will use the familiar structure that has made both The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us a success, but will focus more on the politics of the Seven Kingdoms and the way betrayal can change the fortunes of a family in troubled times.
The studio has said that House Forrester will have five playable characters, which are based both in Westeros and in Essos.
By the looks of things, each of their decisions will affect the others and they will have to deal with some of the most important powers of the world, with the Lannisters apparently playing a major role.
There are six episodes that will be part of the first season of Game of Thrones and the experience will be offered on the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and last-gen consoles, with the first experience set to be offered to fans before the end of the year.
