Jon Radoff, the chief executive officer and founder of Disruptor Beam, announces that his team has no plans to wipe out the progress that gamers have made in Game of Thrones Ascent, despite the fact that the game is currently in open beta stage.

At the same time, the developer will allow the player base to keep the items that they are paying for when the game transitions to a full release.

The developer states, while speaking to Joystiq, that, “Since we're not going to be resetting the game at this point, it's the most fair way to balance things between early adopters and all the people who will be joining in the future.”

Game of Thrones Ascent allows players who are interested to pay real world money in order to get Gold, which can then be exchanged for powerful items and specialized buildings.
