The Zidane incident is far from being over. As for the media, what happened on the field in the second injury time is something that will be discussed a long time from now. And the latest reactions to his gestures came from his colleagues. Don't worry though, they are not blaming their captain of anything, but threatening Marco Materazzi of what he said to Zizou. Everybody is trying to find out what were his exact words, but all assume that they must have been really cruel.

Well, as long as we don't know exactly how Materazzi (allegedly) insulted Zidane, we can only guess. The French players
have crossed the line, though. And the most obvious and vindictive defender of Zizou is William Gallas. The French defender - who started in all "les bleus" matches at the World Cup - wanted to make it very clear to Materazzi that the Italian will better pray of not meeting him on the field again.

"When I see Zidane leaving like this, I want to smash Materazzi's face. I didn't see exactly what happened but, sometimes, football is not just about what happens with the ball. Sometimes you have a player who is very clever, who says something to make you so angry that you want to kill him. We all know how the Italians are. They always act like this - when they feel they are being dominated they try to provoke you. Yes, they are cheaters but we can't stop that. FIFA and referees see only the second act. I accept when the adversary wins with honor but that is not the case. We know Zizou, he doesn't react like that. I don't know what Materazzi said to Zizou. He has left without explaining. But I think it was very grave. When you play against people like that you just want to kick their butt", said Gallas, according to "The Sun" newspaper.

Well, between you and me, I don't know how many chances of winning will Gallas have, but it's probably better that we never find out. And Gallas was not the only man to blame Materazzi more that Zidane. David Trezeguet, the man who practically handed the trophy to Italy, stated that: "He can leave with his head high. Materazzi, even if he has won the cup, cannot - because there is more to life than soccer. We have to remember Zidane is an extraordinary player who had an incredible World Cup. I'm proud that he played for France and I'd like to thank him and give him my congratulations".
