South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung has brought to the market a few weekss ago its first Android-based tablet PC, the Galaxy Tab, which was brought to the Indian market too, though the price tag this device sports there might not seem too appealing to users.

In order to compensate for that, Samsung India came up with a series of free accessories for Galaxy Tab, which should make the device seem less expensive.

For example, every Galaxy Tab unit sold in the country should include a 2GB memory card in the package, preloaded with MapmyIndia navigation and 3 Idiots movie.

Moreover, the tablet PC comes with a free Bluetooth headset that enables users make calls, as well as a leather diary case.

According to a recent article on Samsung Hub, the Stereo Bluetooth Headset and the Leather Diary Case wont be included in the shipping package, but they will be sent to users' homes within 7 working days.

Basically, all of these accessories are said to worth more than Rs. 5,500, while being offered for free with the Galaxy Tab, which sports a price tag of Rs. 38k.

At the same time, wireless carriers in the country also announced a series of special data plans for users interested in the purchase of a Samsung Galaxy Tab.

According to Samsung Hub, these special offerings include:

Airtel - 2GB free data usage @ Rs. 300 per month for 6 months

Aircel

- 3 GB free per month for 3 months for Prepaid users - 1 GB free per month for 6 months for postpaid users

Reliance Mobile

- 5 GB Free Data usage per month for 6 months on Reliance network

TATA Docomo

- 3GB Free data per month for 6 months on Tata Docomo network

Vodafone

- 2GB data @ Rs. 99 per month for Prepaid users - 2GB data @ Rs. 199 per month for Post –paid users

The Galaxy Tab sports a 7-inch touchscreen display, packs a 1GHz application processor inside, along with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as 16GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for cards of up to 32GB.
