There have been quite a few reports around the web regarding the cost Samsung Galaxy Tab would sport when released on various markets around Europe, and some more info on this has just emerged, as Vodafone Germany has made the device available for purchase on its website, with price tag and all the rest included into the mix.

Customers interested in the acquisition of this Android-based tablet PC from the wireless carrier can choose to have it either on a contract or without, having to pay €299,90 or €729,90 for it, depending on their preferences.

We should note that we're referring here to the 16GB version of the slate, and that users would have to commit to a data plan at €35 per month in case they would like to go for the subsidized flavor of the device.

For what it's worth, the slate seems to be priced high enough, as the free of contract price tag goes to up to about $1,000, while the contract price tag was set at around $418.

Not to mention that the 32GB iPad WiFi + 3G model is a little cheaper than that, while offering a large touchscreen display to users.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, and that it runs under Google's Android 2.2 operating system.

Moreover, the device sports a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 3.2MP photo snapper on the back, complemented by a front facing camera for video calling, along with a nice range of connectivity options.

The available memory space on Galaxy Tab can be expanded through the addition of MicroSD memory cards (up to 32GB of storage). The slate is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery.

Galaxy Tab also comes with support for various Google services, as well as for mobile applications, which are available for download via the Android Market.
