Wireless carrier T-Mobile is the latest United States operator to go official with plans to make the new Samsung Galaxy Tab Android-based tablet PC available for its users. Following similar moves from Sprint and Verizon, the company announced officially that the device would land on its network in November.

However, it appears that T-Mobile would actually be the first US carrier to have the new tablet PC available for its users in the following weeks.

The Galaxy Tab is set to arrive at the company on November 10 at T-Mobile retail stores and on its website, while other carriers would receive it a few days later.

The new device would bring to T-Mobile's super-fast HSPA+ mobile broadband network a 7-inch touchscreen display, along with a 1GHz application processor, and the Google Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.

The specs list of Galaxy Tab also includes 3D-like graphics and full support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, as well as support up to 32 GB of expandable microSD memory.

Support for a series of Goolge services has been included into the mix as well, along with access to the Android Market, from where users can download thousands of applications for their device.

“Customers want richer, deeper interactions with entertainment and online content through connected, portable mobile broadband devices that are small enough to carry and big enough to share with friends and family,” said Jeremy Korst, director of broadband products and services, T-Mobile USA.

“T-Mobile’s unique offerings on the Galaxy Tab paired with the power of T-Mobile’s new network allow us to bring a truly differentiated portable entertainment offering to market.”

At the same time, the new device sports a great deal of multimedia features, including the Samsung Media Hub, through which users can access critically acclaimed films and TV programs available for rent or purchase.

Through this solution, users can access content from MTV Networks, NBC Universal, Paramount and Warner Brothers, and other companies.

Moreover, the new device sports Qik Video Chat, which works over T-Mobile’s network or Wi-Fi, and which offers customers the possibility to stay close to people that are important to them.

Galaxy Tab’s front-facing camera is a perfect fit for Qik Video Chat, offering the possibility of holding video conversations to all of the carrier's users.

Other multimedia features of the Tablet PC include:

Kindle for Android

The Kindle for Android application lets customers shop for hundreds of thousands of books in the Kindle Store, including New York Times Best Sellers and new releases from $9.99. Using Amazon’s Whispersync technology, customers can automatically synchronize the last page read, bookmarks, annotations, and more across multiple devices.

Slacker Radio

Slacker is a free, customizable internet radio application with over 130 DJ-programmed genre stations and the ability for customers to create their own. With millions of songs from thousands of artists, Slacker allows customers to discover new artists and hear their favorite music and provide feedback on what they like and don’t like with the click of a button. Customers can also access detailed artist biographies, in-depth album reviews and album cover art.

T-Mobile customers interested in the purchase of a Galaxy Tab slate would have to possibility to sign up for the carrier's monthly 5GB or 200MB webConnect mobile broadband plans.
