Galaxy Tab, the first tablet PC that South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics pushed to the market with Google's Android operating system on board, is expected to taste at least two of the next Android versions when they are made available. Currently powered by Android 2.2 Froyo, the tablet PC should be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread in the near future, while being slated to get the Honeycomb (Android 3.x) update too when it is released.

According to a recent article on Samsung Hub, the info comes from Samsung India, which confirmed officially that the Galaxy Tab would taste the upcoming Android flavors.

However, while committing to the delivery of Gingerbread and Honeycomb to Galaxy Tab, Samsung did not unveil specific release dates for these solutions.

Already available in some markets around the world, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to be put on sale in more countries as soon as next week, including the US and Australia.

In related news, we learn that some people who already got their hands on a Galaxy Tab unit were keen on learning what it packs inside, and that they torn the tablet to pieces, while offering a video of the entire process for your viewing pleasure.

We already learned how much all the components inside Galaxy Tab would cost, as iSuppli has recently published its findings in the area, and now we can also have a look at the hardware components on their own.

As one can see from the video embedded below, the Android slate packs a really impressive battery inside, this being the bulkiest component it contains. The large 4000 mAh battery is about one third of the entire slate.

Of course, other components are equally impressive, such as the large speakers Samsung packed the device with, and all of them can be seen in the video available below courtesy of jkkmobile.
