Samsung Galaxy Tab, the first tablet PC the South Korean mobile phone maker announced officially this year, is expected to make an appearance on the market in Singapore come November 13th. The slate should land on SingTel's shelves in the country, and the carrier already confirmed officially the move.

In case there are some Singaporean users who would like to make sure they receive a Galaxy Tab as soon as it goes official, the carrier's website is the place they should go.

The company has put up a registration page for the Galaxy Tab, where users sign up to be informed as soon as it becomes available for purchase.

On top of that, the wireless carrier announced that those who rush to purchase the slate first on its network should benefit from a special offering it has in place.

“Early birds will get FREE 1 Digital Magazine download for 6 months from SingTel De!ite, Bluetooth Headset worth $58 and a pair of tickets to Celebration Party,” the carrier announced.

The price tag of Samsung Galaxy Tab was set at SG$998 if purchase free of contract. The carrier also has it available on its 3G Flexi plans that start SG$39 and go up to SG$95.

The tablet PC is also expected to arrive on shelves in the country with a series of pre-loaded applications, including Roam Track app, De!ite for buying and reading magazines, the AMPed social music service, the exCite TV streaming service, or access to SingTel’s cloud-enabled OneOffice solution.

The rest of the Galaxy Tab specs remain unchanged, and users in Singapore will receive a device that runs under Google's Android 2.2 operating system, while boasting a 7-inch touchscreen display and a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor.

Moreover, the slate comes with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, as well as with two cameras, a 3PM one on the back and a 1.3MP one on the front for video calling, in addition to 16GB/32GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space.
