On Friday, mobile phone maker Samsung and Pyxis Mobile, a leading mobile application platform developer, announced the commercial availability of the first mobile enterprise application platform (MEAP) for the newly launched Samsung Galaxy Tab slate. According to the duo, they plan on jointly developing the solution and to unveil it to the world in a public demonstration on the Galaxy Tab at CTIA 2010 in San Francisco, Calif.

Samsung is the second leading mobile phone maker in the world, and one of the most successful providers of devices running under Google's Android operating system.

According to the company, it is focused on delivering various solutions to the market, so as to offer customers flexible, enterprise-grade mobile applications.
