Three new devices have been added to the list of Android-based products that sport official support for Adobe's Flash Player 10.1, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab, and the DROID X by Motorola and the DROID Incredible by HTC, which have recently received an upgrade to Android 2.2 at Verizon Wireless.

The addition of these new devices on the said list follows shortly after mobile phone maker Samsung announced officially that its Android-based tablet PC, the Galaxy Tab, is set to land in the US on all major wireless carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.

“At a big launch event in NYC, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab to the U.S. market today," Adobe states on its website.

"With support for Flash Player 10.1, the tablet allows users to experience thousands of sites with rich Flash based applications and content including games, animations, visualizations, ecommerce, video, music and more.”

Support for Flash Player 10.1 on Galaxy Tab means that one would be able to access various websites, to play online games, or check stocks on Google Finance, or listen to favorite music or radio shows online, all straight from the device's browser.

As for the two DROID smartphones at Verizon, the Flash Player 10.1 solution arrived on them via the Android 2.2 software update the wireless carrier pushed to its users not too long ago, at least this is what Adobe notes on its website.

According to Adobe, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is among the first Android-based tablets that should land on the market with full Flash support.

Moreover, the company published a video preview of Galaxy Tab running Flash, which is available for your viewing pleasure here.

“We are seeing many more tablets and smartphones going through our certification progress, so stay tuned for more great things to be unveiled over the next weeks and months including more developer news at MAX, our worldwide developer conference, on Oct 25,” Adobe continues.
