Samsung Galaxy Tab, the first Android-based tablet PC the South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung brought to the market during the ongoing year, has been put on sale at Vodafone Australia via the carrier's website too.

The Android slate was made available for purchase at the wireless carrier last week, when those interested in purchasing it had to enter a Vodafone store for that.

However, now the operator announced that the Samsung Galaxy Tab was made available for purchase via its website as well, here.

“The Samsung Galaxy Tab brings together all of Samsung's leading innovations to provide users with more possibilities on the go,” the mobile phone carrier states on its website.

At the same time, the wireless services provider notes that only a limited stock of Galaxy Tab is available, and that the slate was put on sale via its website, telesales, and via select stores.

The Android 2.2 Froyo-based tablet PC can be purchased on monthly plans that start at $15 per month, with the device priced at $30 per month, and going all the way to $49 per month, with the slate priced at $26 per month.

All the necessary info on the wireless carrier's pricing for the new Android tablet PC can be found here.

For those who might have not encountered the Samsung Galaxy Tab before, we should mention that the slate comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display, while being powered by a 1GHz Hummingbird application processor from Samsung.

The tablet PC also comes with support for 3G networks, as well as with Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity options.

Boasting 16GB of internal memory, the Galaxy Tab comes with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space, as well as with dual cameras, a 3.2MP one on the back, and a 1.3MP camera on the front.
