South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics unveiled to the world a wide range of new devices that would arrive on shelves with Google's Android operating system during the ongoing year, and the Samsungs Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet is among them, Officially unveiled during the CTIA Wireless 2011 conference in late March, the new mobile device is expected to arrive on shelves during summer, and should provide users with great experiences while on the go.

The company has yet to announce specific info on the availability of this device around the world, something that should happen in the very near future.

The Galaxy Tab 8.9 tablet PC has just made a new appearance into the wild, this time around in Russia, where it showed a keyboard dock that would expand its functionality (similar with the Asus Eee Pad Transformer).

The guys over at mforum.ru managed to play with the device for a little, and even presented some of the accessories that it would be paired with, the aforementioned keyboard dock included.

The tablet PC arrives on shelves with Google's Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system on board, and with Samsung’s TouchWiz modifications on top of it.

Samsung designed the user interface to fit the larger screen of the tablet, the same as Google did with the operating system it is based on.

Galaxy Tab 8.9 is one of the slimmest tablet PCs on the market at the moment, the same as is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 slate from Samsung, which should hit the market on June 8th. Both were unveiled at CTIA 2011.

The 8.9-inch device is as appealing as it can be, and the availability of accessories that would expand its functionality would certainly lure users even more.
