Samsung has yet to officially confirm any plans on the upcoming Galaxy S5, supposedly its next flagship smartphone, but that does not prevent enthusiasts from imagining what the company might announce in the not too distant future.

Regardless of whether next month at the Mobile World Congress or in March at a separate event, Samsung will certainly unveil the handset in the first half of the year, and people can hardly wait to learn more on what it will have to offer.

Designer Ashraf Amer took the matter into his own hands and came up with a new Galaxy S5 concept device, one that includes many of the features that the actual phone was rumored to come with, including a flexible screen.

In fact, as the photos available courtesy of concept-phones show, the device sports a flexible body as well, made of a dynamic metal-polycarbonate combo that should also offer increased durability.

Apparently, two versions of the device were imagined, one with a super flexible aluminum body, and another with super flexible polycarbonate plastic (just as Samsung was rumored to launch two flavors of the upcoming flagship).

This concept device features a 4K Super Flexible 5.25-inch OLED screen that also sports scratch-proof glass. Moreover, the smartphone is said to be waterproof.

The handset was also imagined with a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor inside, as well as with 5GB of RAM, for increased performance capabilities.

On the back, it sports a 16-megapixel camera with support for 4K video recording, while also featuring a 5MP front camera for making video calls while on the go. The concept phone sports a very thin, slightly curved design and back speakers for great audio capabilities.

Unfortunately, this Galaxy S5 remains only a concept device for the time being, though many would certainly like to see it released on the market. Hopefully, Samsung’s phone will sport at least some of the features listed above.
