The handset should become official sooner rather than later

Galaxy S III, Samsung’s Android-based flagship last year, had a mini version launched a few months after its official release, and it seems that Galaxy S 4 is about to receive a similar treatment.

No official word on the matter has emerged from the South Korean handset vendor, but the device has already been spotted on the company’s website, as Galaxy S4 mini.

The phone emerged on Samsung’s Content & Services app webpage for the UK, a recent post on Engadget notes, yet it seems that it has already been removed from there.

The brief listing of Galaxy S4 mini on the Samsung Apps website confirms an upcoming launch, but no specific info on when that might occur has been provided as of now.

Rumor has it that the smartphone will arrive on shelves with a 4.3-inch screen, a dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera on the back.
