South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung appears set to become more environmentally-friendly, thus bringing the new Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 8.0 devices to shelves in 100% recyclable retail boxes.

The retail package of both devices was made out of recycled paper and will allow for further recycling, the company claims.

“This Box is made of 100% post-consumer recycled paper and printed with soy-based inks. It is 100% recyclable,” one can read on Galaxy Note 8.0’s box.

As PhoneArena notes, Samsung’s initiative shows that the company is committed to proving that it deserves to sit at the top of the smartphone market.
