Today, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung officially introduced its Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone on the Chinese market, and added it to its online store with a price tag of 5,199 Yuan ($842 / 639 Euro) next to it.

The smartphone arrives on shelves in China with the Exynos 5 Octa-Core 5410 processor packed inside, which is based on ARM’s big.LITTLE technology and which consists of a quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz and a quad-core Cortex-A7 chip clocked at 1.2GHz.

As SamMobile notes, the handset also packs a PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU, as well as 2GB of RAM, which should result in increased levels of performance being offered to users.

Samsung Galaxy S4 was made official last month with a 5-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen on the front, capable of delivering a full HD resolution.

Furthermore, it sports a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with auto-focus and support for full HD video recording. There is also a front camera packed on this device, with support for video chatting while on the go.

Galaxy S4 also arrives on shelves with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity inside, support for LTE networks, 16GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, a 2600 mAh battery, GPS receiver, and the usual set of sensors.

Furthermore, the smartphone runs under Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, with Samsung’s own TouchWiz Nature UX loaded on top.

Four Galaxy S4 models will be launched in China, fit for the networks of different wireless carriers there. The GT-I9500 and GT-I9508 will hit shelves at China Mobile with 3G and LTE connectivity inside, respectively.

Additionally, China Unicom will receive a Dual-SIM flavor of the smartphone, featuring the model number GT-I9502, while China Telecom plans on adding the CDMA/GSM-enabled SGH-I959 variant to its offering.

According to SammyHub, the South Korean mobile phone maker is set to make the Galaxy S4 available for purchase in about 155 countries before the end of this month (the handset will go up for sale in most of them in April, it seems).
