South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics seems hard at work with planning new handsets that would follow its high-end Galaxy S devices, brought to the market last year, and some more info on this emerged.

Apparently, the handset vendor might be set to officially announce the successor of Galaxy S as soon as next month, during the Mobile World Congress set to take place in Barcelona.

The company has put on its Samsung Unpacked website a teaser page that shows the already available Galaxy S next to a covered handset, with the “Evolution is Fate” phrase written over it, and with Barcelona 13.02.2011 beneath it.

“February 13th. Something big is coming. Join us to discover the next evolution in Samsung Mobile,” the leading handset vendor notes on the said website (via phoneArena).

No info on what the new mobile phone might be all about emerged for the time being, but more might surface after February 1st, as the company is set to make a preview teaser available on that date.

Rumors on the possible near arrival of a successor of Samsung Galaxy S made it into the wild before, and Samsung's web page comes as a confirmation of the company's future plans.

Until more info on this handset becomes available, we should have a look at some other reports in this area, regarding the Samsung Vibrant 4G, a rumored successor for the Samsung Vibrant (a Galaxy S device) currently available on T-Mobile's airwaves in the United States.

It seems that this device might have just passed through FCC, at least this is what a recent article on Engadget claims.

A Samsung SGH-T959V handset cleared FCC recently with support for AWS (T-Mobile's 3G / 4G network). Since the original Vibrant has model number SGH-T959 and the connectivity options fit, this might very well prove to be the rumored 4G-capable phone for T-Mobile.

And since Samsung might unveil the new Galaxy S device next month, it might not come as a surprise if this rumor pans out, that's for sure. Keep an eye on this space for additional info on the matter.
