South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics made it to the headlines quite a lot last year with its highly-appealing Samsung Galaxy S smartphones, and the company might do the same this year, with the rumored launch of a successor for the said device, as well as of a Mini flavor of Galaxy S, one that surfaced now as the Samsung S5830.

Moreover, the latest rumors on the matter suggest that Samsung might actually go for the mini part with other devices as well, and that a Samsung S5570 should be unveiled soon as the Galaxy Mini.

The available info on the Samsung S5830, which emerged courtesy of SamFirmware, point at the possibility that it would indeed arrive on shelves as some sort of a small Galaxy S device.

Apparently, the smartphone runs under Google's Android 2.2 operating system, has a 5-megapixel camera capable of 720p video recording, a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD memory card, and other features more, through specific info lack at the moment.

Chances are that the new device would pack about the same features as the high-end Galaxy S handsets do, though exact info on this would be available as the phone nears its launch date.

All the necessary details on it might become official at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month, so stay tuned.

As for the S5570, supposedly the Galaxy Mini, it should include a 240 x 320 resolution screen, microSD card slot, WiFi and Bluetooth, and Android 2.2 Froyo with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top of it.

According to rumors, the phone would also include a curved design, the same as Nexus S does. Samsung S5570 measures 110.42 x 60.76 x 12.68mm, Samsung Hub notes in a recent article.

Most probably, this handset would also be unveiled officially at the upcoming MWC show in Barcelona, the same as Samsung S5830, but nothing was confirmed officially on the matter until now.
