We have already had the chance to see the Purple version of the Samsung Galaxy S III listed on Samsung’s own website, yet no specific info on when it might arrive on shelves has been provided as of now.

According to the latest reports on the matter, however, April 12 appears to have been set as its launch date, with Sprint being the wireless carrier that will have it available on its network.

Furthermore, the info that emerged over at Engadget suggests that the handset will be available for purchase with 16GB of internal memory and that it will cost $99 on a two-year contract, after a $50 mail-in rebate.

Nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter for the time being, but a formal announcement could be near, so stay tuned.
