Pre-ordered units have been reportedly delayed as well

Apparently, Verizon Wireless indeed has some troubles meeting demand for the new Galaxy S III smartphone, and that those who pre-ordered it might not receive their units in due time.

The flagship Android device was announced for the wireless carrier in early June, and was expected to land at the end of the month, but the wireless carrier pushed the launch date back to July 12th.

At the moment, users who head over to the wireless carrier’s website to grab a Galaxy S III will learn that their unit won’t ship until July 19th.

While the initial assumption was that only those who recently ordered the device would be affected, it appears that things are actually worse than that.

Users who placed reservations on Galaxy S III report that Verizon is pushing their shipments back to the same date, although it was supposed to have already delivered them.
