Following Optus’ announcement on the upcoming availability of Galaxy S III 4G, Australian mobile phone carrier Virgin Mobile also went official with plan to add the device to its offering.

The smartphone is already available for pre-order on Virgin Mobile’ website via this link, for $0 upfront on the carrier’s $89 per month plan.

No specific release date for the mobile phone has been provided as of yet, but the wireless carrier did say on its website that it might arrive as soon as late September.

“Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S3 4G will be available late September. Pre-order now and we’ll ship it to you as soon as it’s in stock,” the carrier announced.

Galaxy S III 4G comes with a 4.8-inch HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB storage, microSD slot, an 8MP camera on the back, 1.9MP camera on the front, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on top.
