Samsung is reportedly gearing up for the release of the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system for its Galaxy S II devices in about ten days from now.

The company has been long rumored to plan the release of this OS upgrade in March, and it appears that it might have it delivered to users as soon as March 15th.

Galaxy S II owners in Israel are certain to get a taste of this update next week, as the company announced such plans on its Facebook page.

Nothing has been confirmed for the rest of the world as of now, but it would not come too much as a surprise if Samsung kicked off a worldwide roll-out on that day.

The South Korean mobile phone maker has already confirmed plans to upgrade its Flagship device to Ice Cream Sandwich, and has also promised the update for other high-end smartphones in its lineup.
