Samsung Sweden has confirmed plans to make the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update available for its Galaxy S II smartphone starting with November this year.

On its website, the company notes that the delivery of this update will begin next month, but it does not offer further info on its release date.

However, Samsung also confirmed that the Jelly Bean update will arrive on Galaxy Note before the end of this year, which means that all of its high-end smartphones will be upgraded in 2012, as SamMobile notes. Galaxy Note 10.1 will be upgraded as well.

The update is expected to become available for download both over-the-air and via the company’s Kies desktop application.

Following the update, users will benefit from better performance on their devices, while also enjoying 2 homescreen modes, a new Notifications bar, Google Now, reorganized settings menu and a sizable Pop-up play screen.
