Galaxy S II, the new flagship Android-based smartphone from South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung Electronics, is expected to make an appearance on the market in the UK a few days earlier than initially announced.

Following a few weeks of delays for this device, Samsung announced that it would make it available for purchase in the UK starting with May 1st.

However, it appears that the smartphone would actually be set to arrive on shelves in the country on April 27th, at least this being what UK retailer Phones4u announced.

Users who will rush to the retailer's website to place pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S II would be able to enjoy their new acquisitions come April 27th.

A recent article on Pocket-lint notes that Phones4u confirmed that it would be “the first mobile retailer to offer the new Samsung Galaxy S II,” and that those who pre-order the device from it would receive it before May 1st.

Moreover, the retailer reportedly announced that it would also make the Samsung Galaxy S II available for purchase through its stores on that day, offering it for free on plans that start at £35 a month, or for £499 on pay as you go.

The Galaxy S II certainly seems a great option for all users, especially since Samsung packed it with a dual-core 1.2GHz application processor, 16GB of internal memory, and an 8GB microSD memory card included in the package from the start.

Samsung Galaxy S II is also expected to become available for purchase in other markets around the world in a matter of weeks, and can be already admired in some video commercials that Samsung came up with.

We already talked about the first video ad for Galaxy S II, and now a second one is available for your viewing pleasure, touting some of the capabilities the new device would arrive on shelves with, such as voice commands and speech to text functionality.
