Japanese mobile phone carrier NTT DoCoMo has just announced that the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone would arrive on its shelves as soon as next month.

The Galaxy S II smartphone is set to make an appearance on shelves at the wireless carrier with the model number SC-02C on it.

This is not the only new smartphone the wireless carrier has in store for its users, but it might be one of the nicest devices, that's for sure.

The Samsung Galaxy S II (SC-02C) is expected to make an appearance on the Japanese market via NTT DoCoMo sometime in late June, the wireless carrier announced.

The new smartphone comes with a powerful 1.2GHz application processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

The mobile phone would also offer users the possibility to add more storage space through microSD cards of up to 32GB.

Galaxy S II was unveiled to the world with Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system on board, and with support for various services and applications.

It would enable users enjoy fast access to Google Mobile Services like Gmail, Google Maps, Search, You Tube, GTalk, or to the Android Market. The phone also comes with great multi-tasking features, so that one could have more than one application opened on it at the same time.

On the back, the smartphone sports an 8-megapixel photo snapper with support for full-HD video recording. On the front, it packs a 2MP camera for video calling.

Also on the front, the Galaxy S II has a large 4.3-inch touchscreen display, capable of delivering a 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

The new mobile phone also comes with 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as with A-GPS, and with support for the DoCoMo market, 1Seg TV tuner and FOMA, so that users would enjoy up to 14Mbps download and 5.7Mbps upload speeds.
