Galaxy S II is one of the most appealing handsets that arrived on shelves during the ongoing year, and it is now part of a special deal at wireless carrier Vodafone in Australia.

Online shoppers will be able to get the device for $0 up front when signing for a 24-month contract on the $49 Vodafone Cap plan. Moreover, they will also receive 2-months access for free.

The deal is available until December 14th, 2011, and only for those who will make the purchase via the carrier's website. In Vodafone’s stores, the device is available for $5 per month.

With a large 4.3" screen, a dual-core application processor and 16GB of internal memory, the mobile phone seems like a great deal. At the moment, it runs under Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, but it was already confirmed to receive an update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
