Canadian wireless carrier Virgin Mobile has already added to its offering a new high-end smartphone running under Google's Android operating system, namely the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G.

The new device can already be seen listed as available for pre-order on the wireless carrier's website here, with a price tag of $169.99 attached to it, with the signing of a three-year contract agreement.

Moreover, the wireless services provider offers users the possibility to purchase the new device at full retail for $599.99.

The handset went available yesterday for those who signed up to be informed on its availability, it seems. The carrier reportedly announced users in this via email.

“Thanks for signing up to be the first to know when the hot new Samsung Galaxy S II 4G would be up for grabs,” the message from Virgin Mobile reads.

Those who will make the purchase online between July 20 – 25, 2011, will also receive a $25 value gift card, as well as free shipping for their devices.

“This offer is good while quantities last, for new activations only on the Virgin Mobile SuperTab or a 3-year agreement,” the wireless carrier also announced.

The Samsung Galaxy S II 4G smartphone is the latest Android-based flagship model from Samsung, rocking a fast and powerful 1.2GHz dual-core application processor.

The handset also comes to the market with a large 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus touchscreen display, as well as with a slim design, and 1GB of RAM to complement the CPU.

An 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back of this device enables users to easily record videos in full HD resolution, while the front-facing camera can support video calling.

The smartphone also comes with 16GB of internal memory, along with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of external storage.

3G, WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities were included into the mix as well, along with GPS receiver. As the name suggest, the Samsung Galaxy S II 4G also offers support for HSPA+ networks.
