Even though Samsung stated that it plans to launch the next Android 2.2 Froyo upgrade for Galaxy S almost at the same time worldwide, it seems that we already have delays in some countries. We have resons to believe that the long-waited software update will be rolled out in most of the countries starting next moth.

The Korean handset manufacturer planned to push the upgrade in September, but unexpected issues delayed the event till next month, at least locally in some countries.

There are at least two countries that expect the software update in late October, and they already confirmed it through more or less official channels.

Samsung Mobile India has confirmed the update for the next month on its Twitter account, but hasn't yet disclose a certain date.

The Spanish division of Samsung Mobile also confirmed the Samsung Galaxy S Android 2.2 upgrade for late October, on its Facebook account.

If these are not fakes, we can expect more announcements such as these from other Samsung mobile divisions around the world, in the near future.

Samsung Mobile España also states that the upgrade will be available through Samsung Kies desktop application.

While this may seem bad news for Samsung Galaxy S users, who were expecting the upgrade this month, at least we're certain that Samsung devs will have more time to "polish" the update and offer an exceptional software update.

With only one week left till the end of September, there are still chances that Samsung will make an official announcement regarding the launch of the upgrade in any of the countries were the smartphone is being retailed.

On the other hand, Samsung Mobile UK has confirmed on its Twitter account that the Android 2.2 Froyo for Galaxy S will be deployed by the end of September, but the messages are dated 13th and 15th September.

Some angry voices are already pointing at the Korean manufacturer, saying that the upgrade will be delayed even longer, just to make the smartphone's sales even higher, and that the Android 2.2 Froyo will be available in a completely new device, which I do not agree with.

Stay tuned for more updates on the subject.
