Most news regarding NVIDIA's upcoming GF100-based GeForce GTX 470 and GeForce GTX 480 graphics cards has generally centered around the actual lack of information on the products. Still, the official launch date is finally approaching and it was only a matter of time before some actual information made it through to the web. Not so long ago, the memory frequencies of the GTX 470 were supposedly reported. Now, another leak has emerged showing what looks like the upcoming GTX 470 from Galaxy.

Galaxy is a partner exclusive to NVIDIA when it comes to graphics adapters and it makes sense that it would be eager to officially introduce its card. The company is reportedly preparing a series of events in China to mark the date of the official introduction. Unfortunately, what information and pictures managed to leak don't really provide any insight into the product specs themselves, but they do show what the custom card looks like, as well as the output options. The device has an HDMI connector, a PCI Express x16 interface, takes up two slots and is powered by a pair of 6-pin PCI Express connectors.

As far as the actual product specs are concerned, all that is known is what has been gathered from the previous leaks and speculations. The device is expected to come with 448 CUDA cores, a 320-bit memory interface, 1280GB GDDR5 and support for PhysX, CUDA, 3D Vision Surround and 3-way SLI. Of course, this feature set is added to the obvious support for DirectX 11. Further details, such as the GPU clock speed and power consumption, are still unknown at this time. It is also unclear whether Galaxy will also be launching a GTX 480, although it likely will.

NVIDIA will make the official announcement at PAX 2010, on March 26/27, when it will also launch the higher end GeForce GTX 480. The Santa Clara GPU maker also plans on making a more affordable Fermi graphics processing unit for the mainstream and entry-level markets, with graphics adapters based on it expected to make their appearance around the middle of the year or later on.
