Just as officially confirmed a few days ago, wireless carrier T-Mobile has started to roll out a new software update for its Galaxy Note II users.

The new firmware brings along a series of bug fixes, while also providing users with all the benefits that Samsung’s multi-window feature has to offer.

The update was meant to resolve an issue with Exchange calendar events not appearing on device Calendar, while also fixing a bug that prevented users from swiping through Gmail messages.

Based on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, the new platform release is available for download both over-the-air (OTA) and through the Samsung Kies desktop application, T-Mobile says.

Galaxy Note II owners will be informed on the availability of the new software. Users can check to see whether the update is up for download for their devices through going to Menu > Settings > About phone > Software Update.
