Owners of a Galaxy Note II handset on the network of wireless carrier AT&T in the United States should start receiving notifications on the availability of a new software update for their devices.

This is the Multi-View update that was announced not too long ago, and which has already started to be rolled out to users, AndroidCentral reports.

Weighing 178MB, the new firmware release will keep the Note II smartphone on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, but will provide users with the possibility to enjoy great multitasking capabilities on their devices.

The update will be delivered over-the-air, and users will be notified on its availability, but they can also perform manual checks to see whether it is available for their units or not.

The Multi-View feature will provide users with the possibility to run more than one app on the screen at the same time.
