Vodafone UK is yet another wireless carrier to have made the new Galaxy Note II smartphone from Samsung available for purchase on its network.

Users in the country heading to the company’s website today will find the device available for purchase for free on monthly plans that start at £47.

Packing a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen, Galaxy Note II is the largest Android-based smartphone available on shelves today.

Moreover, it is also one of the most powerful such devices, courtesy of its 1.6GHz quad-core processor, complemented by 2GB of RAM.

Running under Google’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, the new device also comes with 16GB of internal memory, as well as with a microSD memory card slot that can support up to 64GB of additional storage space.

On the back, Galaxy Note II features an 8-megapixel photo snapper with full HD video recording capabilities, complemented by a 2MP camera on the front for making video calls.

It also sports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as built-in GPS receiver, the usual set of sensors, and access to a wide range of applications that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.

On top of that, it comes with a series of exclusive features powered by its S Pen and by the applications that Samsung loaded on the device.

“The best ideas come when you least expect it, the GALAXY Note II will always be on hand for when you get flashes of inspiration for you to jot down ideas. The S Pen's rubber, pressure sensitive tip enhances precision for writing, editing and creating your latest masterpiece,” Vodafone notes.

“Capturing ideas couldn't be easier - combine your handwriting with any digital content directly on your screen. You can sign-off your emails on the move and make your phone individual to you. The Easy Clip app lets you edit images instantly with colouring, shading or your handwriting.”
